Please be informed that the Air cargo Forwarders of the Philippines, Inc. (AFPI) will conduct another training workshop on IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations Category 6/3 Details are as follows:

COURSE DESCRIPTION:
Shipping of dangerous goods, procedures, regulations, responsibilities, and best practices.

COURSE OBJECTIVES:

  • Appreciate the necessity and importance of the safe carriage of dangerous
    goods by air and its worldwide application.
  • Understand the origin, background, and basis of the current regulations.
  • Identify hidden hazards when presented for carriage as baggage or cargo.
  • Ascertain whether an item is acceptable as checked or carry-on baggage.
  • identify the nine classes of dangerous goods and recognize d the hazard label for each class or division.
  • Identify listed and unlisted items on the basis of the properties provided.
  • Determine the hazard class or division with the applicable packing group.

Note: Division 6.2 Shipping of Infectious Substances is also included in this training.

  • Questions & activities / exercises – Classroom based
  • Individual written assessment
